The children did drawings and paintings of this lovely little bird. The compared our local chickadee with those around the globe. The listened to the difference in call from one species to the next.
It was a great start to our Winter Nature Study!

Yay! Sounds like fun! Chickadees are faithful visitors to our feeder in the winter...so cheerful when so many other birds have gone south for the winter. You might get juncos, too, so watch for them!
