Iditarod

So this week we've been following our mushers for the Iditarod.  We are following 4 this year, here is a picture with Monkey Man and our map of Alaska and the trail marked.

Here is the data we are collecting for each musher:

We have 3 mushers left as our woman musher Karin Henderson withdrew from the race.  We've been tracking the race using the GPS Site here: Iditarod GPS Tracking

We also went to Carols house for some crafts relating to Alaska.  Monkey Man created a water colour picture of the Northern Lights and a Sun catcher.  Both were really fun to do and turned out great!

He's really enjoying the tracking now that we have the GPS program.  He was having a hard time being enthusiastic about the chart we were using initially :)
