Bath FiZzIeS!

For our crafty day this week we did bath fizzies :)

These were super easy to do and can be found here from good Ole Martha Stewart: http://www.marthastewart.com/280275/how-to-make-bath-fizzies?backto=true&backtourl=/photogallery/bath-and-spa-gifts

We added a few to each cookie jar we made earlier in the month for Christmas Gifts. We also have some more packages for a few other gifts as well! They smell fantastic!

All I Want For Christmas...

is my two front teeth LOL

Borax Crystal Ornaments - An Oldie but a Goodie!

The kiddos really don't get sick of doing these every year LOL We had some ornaments we made last year still look great so they wanted to make a few more!

We used some sparkly pipe cleaners this year which didn't grow crystals as big as the traditional fuzzy ones. They were very pretty though!

Soaking

Little Miss wanted a number 3 and a claw?!?! LOL

Ginger Beard Houses

We did Ginger Bread Houses this week with our friends! This was the first year we didn't have a house fall in on itself... Or have a slight lean... Or a gaping wound down the middle of the roof :)

It was a great time and they all turned out beautifully :)

The Boy: Going with the abstract flow...

The Girl: A place for everything and everything in it's place LOL

Christmas Jars

Little Missy and myself got our Christmas Jars, for some special family members, all done! Nice to have a little pair of hands for the packing part :)

He got his stripe!

This week Mr. Monkey was given his first black stripe in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu! It takes a VERRRRY long time to progress, up to 10 years which is not like many martial arts available today. He's really enjoying this style, after trying a few different one like Go Ju Ryu and Muay Thai (when he visits with his dad). BJJ teaches that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique. We like this as it teaches defense without striking and frankly the boy just loves to wrestle :)

Here with his coaches from Musashi Martial Arts in Barrie!

One proud dude, you can see his newly added stripe!

Tree Ornaments

I've been a bit of a Pinterest junkie as of late, such a great site :) Which leads us to our next Christmas craft! Ornaments!

These were very simple and the children enjoyed doing them. The how to is here but really not needed LOL http://gardenmama.typepad.com/my_weblog/2011/01/my-entry-1.html

Press the cedar or pine tree into the clay, press the circle around it, make a hole for sting once dried, voila... new ornaments!

Left over clay became a snail :)
